The Summoner of Bahamut

A.K.A. Conjurer of Beasts Part III.
I’ve been thinking a lot whether I should post this painting or not, and finally I decided to upload it in my scrapbook since I’m not really satisfied with anything in it – line art, pose, or shadowing – and I think I could have done much better. But I still like the concept and the way the colors in the background shine. I wanted to draw Rydia in the midst of an evocation, but I tried something different from Leviathan, the Phantom Beast she is usually portrayed with. This is, of course, Bahamut, the King of Dragons and, in Final Fantasy IV, the God of Phantom Beasts.
This piece has been photoshopped much more heavily than usual. I duplicated the bottom layer with Multiply mode to have more intense colors, added a lot of shadowing, made corrections with the Liquify filter, and abused Vivid Light mode brushes. Maybe one day I’ll redraw it all over again, who knows. Please leave a comment about anything, so I will know how to make it better.
